Nathalie Sanche

Nathalie Sanche has been living and working in the Eastern Townships for more than 20 years as a professional artist-sculptor. Her practice is about the work with metal. At first, she came to be known for her works created in collaboration with the cabinetmaker Angelo Sorrentino, oeuvres that were all articulated around generous volumes and the symbol of the sacred femina.

In 2015, the sculptor finished her studies in psychology and theology at the University of Sherbrooke. She was then interested to explore sculpture with paper. The lightness, silence and softness brought by the works on paper drove her in a new direction: the ephemeral installation.

In 2020, the sculptor, having a passion for metal since ever, returned to her favorite medium: aluminum, shaped in long lines. She bents, curves and assembles the metal rods to create large installations designed mainly for the outdoors.
