Ambroise Courteau
Biography
For many years, Ambroise have been an aficionado of wood working. In the last six years, he added the use of epoxy resin to his creations.
His background as a physiotherapist and a sport coach influences the ergonomic side of his work. « I use slabs of wood from trees of local source, often cut down, put into log and sawn by myself. My work involves the making of different pieces, using wood slices, often with a live edge: side tables, coffee tables, work stations, cribbage boards, coasters and more. Depending on the piece of wood I am working on, I may add some epoxy of different colors. My pieces are generally finished with natural oil or a mix of oil and wax ».
