Jacques Landry
After a career in management, it was when his first grandson arrived in 2018 that Grandpa Jacques started creating wooden toys. Self-taught and passionate about wood since forever, he designs and produces ecological and sustainable toys that can be passed down from one generation to the next. He highlights different local species of new and recycled wood, thus reducing the footprint of plastic, unfortunately too present in the toy industry as elsewhere.
His creations are inspired by toys from Quebec heritage and what amuses grandchildren. Starting with the classic little wooden train, several creations have been added over time such as boats, cars, trucks and tractors. Other exclusive creations are also available such as large farm buildings and toys animated by all-wood mechanisms that arouse the curiosity of young and old alike.
The models offered by Grandpa Jacques combine the playful side and aesthetics which make it as much a practical as a decorative toy.
